DDGC Members,
It's that time a year again when the NCGA conducts it's annual membership
renewal drive. Beginning now and running for the next three weeks, the Deep
Driver Golf Club (DDGC) is holding it's annual renewal and membership drive for
the 2002 season. All current NCGA members need to renew during this time period
to maintain their status and benefits for 2002. The NCGA requires that we
maintain a membership of 30 in order to remain in good standing.
Membership Dues
-------------------------
The NCGA membership dues increased by $5 in 2002. The annual dues of the
2002 season will be $55.00 ($25 goes to NCGA, $30 goes to DDGC), payable during
the annual renewal period commencing immediately. The membership is
active from January 1, 2002 through December 31, 2002.
Any active member who does not renew their membership by December 6, 2001,
will be considered to have left the club. Your membership status will be changed
to "inactive" and you will be deleted from the DDGC and NCGA
databases. A member can reactivate their membership by paying the yearly
membership fee plus a $20 reactivation charge.
Both new and current members can sign up now for the 2002 season. All new
memberships become active immediately and are valid until December 2002. New
members joining the club will pay $65 for the first year. This includes a $10
fee assessed by the NCGA for new members. New members who have joined since
August 1, 2001 will have their NCGA dues paid through the 2002 season,
however, you will still be obligated for the $30 DDGC membership fee.
Deadline
-------------
The NCGA office must receive the confirmed Club Membership Roster by December
6, 2001. We encourage you to submit your club membership form early to
ensure timely processing. Any renewal not received by December 6, 2001
will be considered late and assessed a $20 reactivation charge ($10 assessed by
the NCGA and $10 for DDGC). Late renewals will not be addressed until after the
confirmed roster is processed by NCGA.
Your prompt attention to renewal of your membership will ensure that (1) the
DDGC is not unnecessarily billed for golfers not renewing their membership, and
(2) that current, active members receive your 2002 NCGA membership card in a
timely manner.
Renewal Registration
------------------------------
You can register for the renewal or new membership by accessing the registration
forms at either of the following links: "Renewal
Membership Registration" or "New
Membership Registration" links from the index. Upon
completing the membership application, please send your check by December 21,
2002 to the following address:

The benefits of being a member of the DDGC are numerous:
Establish and maintain an USGA handicap index
Discounts to Poppy Hills and Poppy Ridge NCGA courses
Accumulate Leader Board points to win valuable cash prizes at year's end
The DDGC Match Play Championship event for cash prizes
Meet fellow golfers to expand your network of contacts
Play some of the best golf courses in the Bay Area
As usual, the DDGC will organize a venue of great golf courses and events for
the 2002 season. In addition, the DDGC will also make an extra effort to reduce
the cost of our tournament fees in 2002. I look forward to joining many of the
2001 members again for another season of great fun, camaraderie, and new golf
swings.
Thank You,
