Associate Club Championship

The Northern California Golf Association (NCGA) sponsors an annual Associate Club Championship which is a tournament between member clubs. The NCGA has two classifications for its clubs; 1) Regular and 2) Associate. Regular clubs are member clubs that are maintained at an NCGA golf course. Associate clubs are golf organizations that are not associated with a golf course facility—and is organized primarily to pursue the game of golf. Deep Drivers Golf Club is classified as an Associate Club.

The qualifying tournament takes place on June 28 at a site to be determined, while the championship for the top 30 teams from the qualifying event takes place on August 6 & 7  at Spyglass Hill GC in Monterey.

The format is as follows: Best Two Balls of Four or lowest two net scores of the four. Sectional qualifying is 18 holes. Championship for top 30 teams is 36 holes, 18 per day. Play will be 90% of the course handicap using a maximum of 18.4 for calculation. Play will be from the middle or white tees.

Criteria to make the team is as follows:

DDGC will pay the greens fees for the team and provide golf shirts and hats.
